How a transfer is priced
In Punta Cana the price isn't based on distance — it's based on the area you're going to. Each resort area has a fixed rate, and that rate is the same whether your hotel sits at the start or the far end of the area.
- —One rate per area, not per kilometre.
- —Fixed price in USD: what you see is what you pay.
- —One-way or round-trip changes the price.
- —The vehicle depends on how many of you there are and how much luggage.
Why the airport taxi costs more
The taxi you grab unreserved, at the airport stand, is the most expensive of all — and the most variable. That makes sense: nothing was agreed in advance and you're being served on the spot. Prices at the stand aren't always visible, and that's where the haggling starts.
None of that happens when you book ahead. Booking is what turns an unknown price into a fixed one — and makes the driver show up holding a sign with your name instead of you having to find someone.
What a private transfer includes
- —Only you and your group in the car — never shared.
- —The driver waits with your name on arrival.
- —Flight tracking: if you land late, the driver adjusts.
- —The price quoted at booking is the price you pay.
Frequently asked
Is a shared shuttle cheaper?
Sometimes cheaper per person, but you wait for the vehicle to fill and stop at several hotels. Our transfers are private on purpose: you leave when you're ready and you go straight there.
Do I pay when booking or on arrival?
Both options are available at booking: pay ahead, or pay the driver.
