Privacy policy

The data controller is Isla Go Touristic Transportation, operating under the Isla Go Transport brand and based in Punta Cana, La Altagracia, Dominican Republic.

Only what you type into the booking forms:

• —Contact: name, email address and phone number (with country code).
• —Transfers: origin and destination (hotel or airport), date and time, flight number and arrival or departure times, number of passengers, luggage, baby seats or boosters, and any notes you leave for the driver.
• —Excursions: chosen excursion, date, adults and children, hotel or pickup point, language and notes.
• —Booking management: a booking code that we generate.

We do not ask for identity documents or card details.

• —Managing and confirming your booking and providing the service.
• —Coordinating pickup with the driver or operator (place, time, flight).
• —Sending you your confirmation and booking notices by email, and contacting you by WhatsApp or phone if needed.
• —Handling your questions and changes, and keeping our internal service calendar.
• —Measuring site usage, only if analytics is switched on (see Cookies).

To provide the service we use the following providers, who receive only what is needed:

• —Google (Firebase): stores bookings in our database and hosts the site.
• —PayPal: processes the transfer deposit and excursion payments made through a payment link. Your card details are handled by PayPal; we never see or store them.
• —Google Calendar: our internal service calendar receives one event per booking with your name, phone, email, flight and pickup and drop-off places.
• —Resend: sends transactional emails (confirmations and payment links). Each confirmation goes to you and a copy is left at the business bookings mailbox.
• —Flight lookup services (AviationStack, if configured, and OpenSky Network): flight status is checked from the flight number and date, without your name or contact details.
• —Google Analytics: only if switched on (see Cookies).
• —Drivers or operators providing the service: they receive what they need to pick you up (name, phone, place, time and flight).

Some of these providers may process data on servers outside the Dominican Republic. We do not sell your data.

We keep your booking data for as long as needed to manage it, handle claims and meet legal and accounting obligations. After that we delete or anonymise it. The booking draft saved in your browser expires after 7 days.

You can ask us for access to your data, to correct it, to delete it or to object to its processing, under the terms set by the applicable Dominican law.

• —Analytics: if we switch on Google Analytics, it sets its audience-measurement cookies. It only loads when an identifier is configured; otherwise nothing is loaded.
• —Advertising or marketing: we do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking for marketing purposes.
• —Local storage: we keep a draft of the booking in progress in your browser (up to 7 days) so you can continue later, and a session flag so the welcome screen is not repeated. You can delete them in your browser settings.
• —Fonts: the site's icons are loaded from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google when the page opens.

We may update this policy; the date above shows the latest review.
